THIS MORNING — I woke-up to a puppy licking my face. I put on a fresh pot of coffee like every other morning. I took a warm shower and I brushed my teeth like every other morning…

It was like every other morning except this morning I learned that Steve Jobs, a man who will forever be remembered as a visionary and creative genius, passed away.

There will be people who say: “So what?”

They simply don’t realize the impact this amazing man has had on their lives.

The impact his visionary dreams have had on all of our lives. He was a friend to many of the wealthiest men and women on our planet. He was a mentor to some. He was a tyrant to others.

But he will not soon be forgotten.

I can only imagine what it would have been like to meet the legend himself.

To shake his hand and thank him. To thank him for the MacBook that lasted through three years of college, and three terrible years of business when my life (and my rent) literally depended on my laptop working every day…

To thank him for an iPod that holds all of the inspirational audio books, seminars, and audio recordings that have made me into the person I am today…

To thank him for the computer that brings you this very newsletter!

It’s too late but I have to say it: “Thank you!”

It’s too late.

However, if you’ll forgive me for saying so, it isn’t too late for you to shake the hands, and thank the men and women in our industry who have had an impact on your life…

Network Marketing Success All Starts With A Plan – Got One?

What’s in YOUR written game plan for implementing network marketing success? To what degree are the tasks broken down? Are they monthly, weekly and/or daily? I’m sorry. I can’t hear you. Did you just mention that you don’t HAVE a drafted sales plan? Sigh.

Putting your objectives in writing is similar to making a handshake with oneself. Every year, hundreds of thousands of Americans whip out what is recognized as ‘New Year’s Resolutions’. These goals typically consist of well-being (I’m going to drop those additional 7 pounds this time), money (I am going to beyond any doubt request that pay increase at my job) or family (I am going to devote more time with my wife and children). The unfortunate statistic is that 97% of the people don’t put those resolutions in written form and take a shot at what really occurs? By March, they’re unsuccessful on all counts. The same thing can be said for your network marketing success. It all begins with setting your goals- written goals. If you’re ‘resolved’ to be a big hit with your network marketing company, you got to put together a plan that works. And then, you’ve got to work the plan. Putting your goals in writing will be THE most important activity you can perform for yourself! It’s that potent. But how do you lay the foundation?

Writing a successful goal plan to help you in exploding your MLM business should,without exception, include 2 vital elements:
1) Goals that can be measured (ex. I will sponsor 10 new people by June 30, 2011)
2) Precise actions you should do to attain those measurable goals (ex. I will phone my top 30 in my warm market and attract them to a presentation by Saturday)
Network marketing success tip #1 -How to design measurable goals

Just like any notable author, you have to start with the outcome in mind. An expert author always knows the ending to her narrative first. Once she knows that, she simply writes the tale backwards. Same thing applies to your network marketing success. You must ask yourself, “How many new personal recruits do I want this year?” Is it 10, 25, 100, 500? All are achievable if you have the right plan to accomplish your goals. As soon as you have that specific number in mind, you just work backwards to explore the actions necessary to carry out your goals.
Case in point, let’s say you long to sponsor 30 recruits by the completion of 100 days. You also feel certain that you habitually convert about 10% of those people you speak with. Do the math and you’ll notice you’re going to have to talk with about 300 prospects. Knowing you must touch base with 300 prospects then how many people must you engage to be able to bring to light that many prospects? Again, if your hit rate is 10% then you must,by hook or crook, estimate a way to network with 3000 people. This headcount will now help you pin down which actions you must take to intensify your MLM lead generation and bring about the amount of exposures necessary to get to those 3000 people.

The other element to creating the ‘measurable’ share of your goal plan is the need to be precise. The most persuasive 2 words in the English language when it comes to business planning are ‘by when’. ‘By when’ do you want to have those 30 personal recruits? ‘By when’ do you aspire to have that shiny new Lexus? ‘By when’ do you want to fire your boss? ‘By when’ do you want to buy that gorgeous home you keep chattering on about? Always be very specific with the date by which you want to succeed in doing your task. It’s perfectly acceptable to shoot for the moon here. You’re going to certainly bump into some stars along the way, correct?

Network Marketing success tip #2- How to predetermine the actions that will help you accomplish those measurable goals

So let’s go more into the rabbit hole. Let’s say that your upline has told you that in order to connect with those 3000 people above, it will take 10 times as many exposures. That means you’re going to either have to make 30,000 calls or construct 60 pieces of content and put on the the web or compose 100 videos. Whatever it takes to get there. Get it? Immediately, you’ve got not only your measurable goals in place, but you’ve established the actions you have to take to hit your numbers. Finally, now it’s time to go to work.

Network Marketing success tip #3- Keep your goals top of mind.

Now that you have a plan and will take consistent action, your network marketing success can’t help but come to be. So what’s your intention to keep it at the top of your mind, all day, every day, from morning till evening. As you go through your goals from your vision board or vision frame, make a picture of them in your mind as already being in your life. See yourself enrolling that 30th teammate. Feel them shaking your hand excited to start their new opportunity. And recognize that you’ve just changed another life. Portion your long term goals into bite size chunks that can be transposed into activities monthly, weekly, daily and even hourly.

Now it’s time to make it all happen. Segment your calendar to do only the most time efficient, income producing activities first. Close down the email. Do NOT open another one of those ‘best comp plan ever’ videos. Don’t even pick up the phone until you manage your 3 top items of the day. Then the rest of your day will be a piece of cake. In all reality, keep following the plan and the rest of your life could be a piece of cake. When you’re consistent and persistent, you can’t help but have the network marketing success you’ve always dreamed of.

If your MLM Prospecting efforts are not resulting in more traffic to your website, more opt-ins, and more people joining your downline on a regular basis then you are probably breaking this one rule you must implement for success.

If you are like most other Network marketers out there you have probably been told that everyone is your prospect, and that everyone wants to join your opportunity, even if they don’t know it yet.

Following this logic is the number one reason for failure in your MLM Prospecting. To remedy this, you must know the number one rule of prospecting, and that is to know your target market. So, the first thing to realize is that these are two very different groups of prospects, and your advertising campaigns, blogs, and articles should treat them as such. Don’t be too broad in pitching your opportunity to too many people.

You don’t want everyone in your downline, you want the type of people that are going to go to work, and treat this as a business.

Most people fail in this industry by not knowing who their target market really is, then when their prospecting efforts ultimately don’t work, due to targeting too broad of a market, they end up quitting and thinking that network marketing doesn’t work, when in fact it does work really well.

So, when prospecting for MLM Leads you want to target a specific group of people who are most likely to join your opportunity, and that is other network marketers. While this may sound strange, we see it all the time in all kinds of markets. If an NBA team is looking for a new player for their team they are not going to put out a notice to the public that they are scouting for just anyone. They are going to look to other teams, college and professional for those who have proven themselves to be great at what they do. Network marketers already know the value of this type of business, so it cuts out the complaints, and the complainers as well. Think of your article as a “teaser”and your product’s landing page as the final destination for your readers to complete the journey. It’s always a good idea to write something like “Did you find this article helpful? Click here for more” at the very end of your article.

Keep your article under 600 words as this will spark an interest and not bore your readers away from your article/link. Make sure to stick with the article’s subject and keep it as organized as possible. Also, when posting your website/product link, always remember to “Proper Case” it (capitalize the first letter of each word).

This makes it much easier for your readers to recognize and remember your URL. For example, notice the difference between these two: fortuneclubhouseisgreat.com vs. FortuneClubhouseIsGreat.com.

5. Write a great article & use it over & over again.

Once you have taken the time to write your own masterpiece, use it as much as possible. After all, you did write it to attract as many readers and as much business as possible, right? Don’t stop at EzineArticles.com & iSnare.com. Find other popular article directories out there and post away. You’ve already completed the most difficult part – the actual writing of your article. You should feel a sense of pride every time you post your article for the world to read.

And once you have a well-written article, feel free to derive other types of posts from it.

For example, you can create a mini version of your article and post it on blogs, forums, Facebook/MySpace groups, twitter.com, classifieds, magazines, etc… Please check out my exclusive articles on each one of these as they each have their own marketing strategies. Just keep in mind future derivatives when composing your article.

6. Establish your niche.

Most people think that by writing 1-2 articles about as specific topic will guarantee them tons of traffic. In order to establish confidence in your field and gain credibility, you should be writing 25-30 articles within your niche. This is an article-writing secret which will multiply your sales in the long run.

Cover different areas within your niche in an organized fashion. This will build your reputation as true expert in your field and it will also generate that much more traffic for your business.

7. Don’t get overwhelmed.

Go at your own pace when writing your article. Some people are natural writers while other require much more thought and/or research. Don’t rush yourself & if you have to, take an extra couple of days to do the proper research.

If you need inspiration and/or direction, use the right tools for you. The following is a great tip if you feel like you need an inspiration boost: Go to Digg.com and search your industry. Now, check out the most “dugg” posts and see what they’re doing to gain their popularity. This is a great way to find new ideas and angles. Please check out my other articles regarding “finding niches”, “finding hot trends” and “finding inspiration”. These concepts are extremely important in helping you stay current with your own products/services.

And don’t get discouraged if you don’t have a website or even your own product/service. In fact, you don’t even need these to be successful with article marketing. It’s very easy to simulate your own product now at days through the use of affiliate marketing.

This is basically for people who don’t have/want their own product and don’t want the burden of dealing with customers.
